I have a nasty, nasty next door neighbor. I am easy to get along with. I'm not the most socially outgoing individual, but I do my best to be cordial. I will wave to her when I see her in her yard. No response. I occasionally see her on the hiking trails in the park, I say "good morning". No response. This woman has been living next door for about 5 years, give or take. Not long after she moved in, her cat climbed under my deck and wouldn't come out. The reason I know this is her husband, who seems like a nice enough guy and DOES acknowledge my greetings, told me this was the case. She just squatted there, staring under the deck, ignoring me as usual. I know she's not a deaf-mute because I've witnessed her engaged in verbal conversations on many occasions. Just not with me, or my wife, or any of our other neighbors. Except the dogs. She always talks to the dogs. Anyway, I saw her this morning. I came out of the woods and saw her standing on the road. Just standing there by herself. She saw me come off the trail and just stared at me. Didn't say a word, as usual. This time I decided not to wave or say hi or anything. I just turned onto another trail and walked away, resisting the urge to say what I really wanted to say..."Hey, neighbor lady, see you next Tuesday!"
By the way, if you haven't already checked out questionstream.com give it a look. That whysguy puts up some interesting queries. The man must be brilliant.
Thank you for your time.
