While I was leaving the mall the other day I noticed a sign that said "door opens automatically by switch". Is it truly automatic if you have to push a switch to open it? I would think semi-automatic at best. Why didn't they just put a sign that said "push switch to open door"?
Also at the mall, there were signs that said "save up to 40% and more". It can be up to 40%, and it can be more than 40%, but I don't think it can be both. I always thought the phrase "up to" set some sort of limit. If that's the case, then "up to 40% and more" is clearly a contradiction of terms.
One more thing about my trip to the mall...all the shops in the food court seem to be operated by Asians. That makes sense for the Chinese food shop, and the Japanese food shop, but the pizza shop? The Cajun grill? I've got nothing against Asians or free enterprise or any combination of the two, it just seemed a bit odd to me.
Thank you for your time.
